Terms of Use
Last updated October 22, 2026
These terms explain the ground rules for using Harbor Hire, a Charleston job board for restaurant, bar, and hotel work. By using the site, you agree to follow these rules. If you do not agree, please do not use Harbor Hire.
Using Harbor Hire
Harbor Hire is a place for job seekers to find local hospitality openings and for employers to share opportunities. Job seekers may browse and apply for free. Harbor Hire is not an employer, staffing agency, or representative of any employer using the board. We do not make hiring decisions or promise that a listing will lead to an interview or job.
You are responsible for the information you provide and for making sure you are allowed to use the site. Keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you believe someone has used your account without permission.
Applying for jobs
You choose whether to apply and what information to send. When you submit an application, you authorize Harbor Hire to share that application—including the contact details, resume, and answers you provide—with the employer that posted that specific job so they can consider you and contact you.
Employers are independent businesses. They are responsible for their own hiring decisions, communications, workplace, and compliance with applicable employment rules. Check details such as schedule, pay, location, and job duties with the employer before accepting a role.
Employer listings and pay ranges
Employers must have authority to post for the business they name and must provide accurate, current information. Every listing must include a clear pay range. The range should reflect the role and explain relevant conditions, such as tips or a pay basis, so applicants can understand what is being offered.
Harbor Hire reviews listings before they appear. We may ask for edits, decline a listing, or remove it if it is misleading, incomplete, unlawful, discriminatory, unsafe, or otherwise inconsistent with these terms. A review is not a guarantee that an employer, opening, or workplace has been independently verified. Employers are responsible for updating or closing filled, paused, or expired roles.
Listings are for genuine job openings. Do not use them to advertise a product, collect unrelated personal information, or mislead job seekers.
Employer posting fees
Job seekers are not charged to browse or apply. The employer posting options are $99 for one job post, live for 30 days, or $249 for a package of three job posts. Each post in the package is live for 30 days once published.
At checkout, you will see the applicable package, price, and any other checkout terms before confirming a purchase. Payment must be completed before a paid listing is published. Payment details will be handled by the payment provider presented at checkout; do not send card details to Harbor Hire by email.

Acceptable use
Use Harbor Hire honestly and respectfully. You may not:
- Post a fake, misleading, discriminatory, unlawful, or unsafe job opportunity.
- Impersonate a person or business, or use information you do not have permission to share.
- Use the site to spam, harass, threaten, scam, or unlawfully collect personal information.
- Upload malicious software, interfere with the site, bypass security, or access accounts or data without permission.
- Copy listings or other site content in bulk, scrape the site, or use automated access without our permission.
- Use applications or contact details for a purpose unrelated to the job for which the person applied.
We may restrict or end access to the site when we reasonably believe someone has broken these rules or is putting people or the service at risk.
Your content and privacy
You keep ownership of the resume, application answers, and listing content you provide. You give Harbor Hire permission to host, review, and display that content as needed to operate the service—for example, to show an approved job listing or deliver your application to its chosen employer.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Employers who receive applications are responsible for how they use information after receiving it.
Site availability and limitations
We work to keep Harbor Hire useful, but we cannot promise that the site will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Job information is supplied by employers and may change. We may correct, pause, or remove site content and features as needed.
To the extent allowed by law, Harbor Hire is provided as available, without a promise that a listing, employer, application, or hiring outcome will meet your expectations. You are responsible for using your own judgment when communicating with employers or applicants. Nothing in these terms removes a right or protection that cannot legally be waived.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service changes. We will post the current version here and revise the date above. Continuing to use Harbor Hire after an updated version is posted means you accept the revised terms.
